This cover was executed with remarkable detail, showing an excellent control of the medium with elaborate woodwork both along the borders and in the central panel. As the enlarged image will reveal, the primary carving is pristine, but the outermost edge around the front and back will require expert repair. There is also a considerable defect on the left side. The estimated value is based with these condition issues in mind.
