This distemper on cloth, religious scroll depicts The White Tara -- The right hand rests across the knee in the gesture (mudra) of supreme generosity and the left hand holds to the heart the stem of a white lotus The entire composition is excellently preserved and shows the hierarchical composition with the White Tara figure in the central position, representative of the center of the cosmos prepared to ward off the evil demons from the underworld.
